SMARTPLUG LAUNCHES ELCI/BREAKER COMBINATION

Smartplug Elci Breaker

Dec 4, 2018

SmartPlug Systems’ new Equipment Leakage Circuit Interrupter provides boat owners with another layer of electrical safety. It shuts down shore power if current leakage is detected. This eliminates potential problems such as dangerous electricity in the water and electrolysis.

Ideal for OEMs and custom boatbuilders, the Equipment Leakage Circuit Interrupter is available in 30A and 50A, and matches the company’s distinctive inlets. Operating in tandem, they meet ABYC E-11 standards for ground fault protection and main shore power circuit interruption.

The UL-943 listed ELCI has power and fault indicator status lights, and test and reset buttons. A separate inlet contains the UL-489 listed breaker. Completely automatic upon power-up, the Equipment Leakage Circuit Interrupter is rated to operate between -31° and 150° F. It operates on 120V AC or 120/240V AC, 50/60 Hz.

Installation is simple with the inlet matching industry standard cutouts and mounting holes. The pair accommodates up to three 6 AWG wires with no twisting required. SmartPlug’s Equipment Leakage Circuit Interrupter is available in stainless steel and non-metallic white.
