Stainless steel outlet covers are UL listed

Stainless Steel Outlet

Nov 1, 2022

Moisture working its way into an external power receptacle can introduce corrosion and the potential for electrical failure. The safe solution is to install a Stainless-Steel Flip Cover from Hubbell Marine. An easy DIY project for commercial mariners and recreational boat owners, or as an ideal OEM upgrade, the durable accessory seals off duplex or GFCI/ELCI outlets with UL-listed weather resistance.

Manufactured from ultra-strong marine-grade 316 stainless-steel, Hubbell Flip Covers are polished to a high shine for maximum corrosion resistance and a premium appearance. Smooth surfaces allow for easy cleaning. Covers for standard duplex outlets feature dual covers. For rectangular components, a single cover is used.
Stainless-Steel Flip Covers are offered in two versions. The self-closing style is UL Type 3R to protect against light rain, sleet and ice. The latching model is UL Type 4X rated to be fully water- and dust-tight—more than sufficient for hose blasts during washdowns.

Hubbell Stainless Steel Flip Covers measure 4.85″ L x 3.04″ W and can be installed horizontally or vertically. At only 0.88″ H, they won’t protrude and create a snag point.
