Hanse Yachts introduces their newest offering…the Hanse 588.  Focusing on Fast cruising, easy sailing, individual customization and innovative design, this yacht is sleek, elegant and highly functional.

Features Include:

Style / Comfort/ Functionality

The optional GRP hardtop is shading the cockpit but also carrying the mainsheet as on Hanse 675

►The tender storage achieves an increased aft cabin volume, still carrying a well-sized Williams 280 tender with an easy tender

launching system by a winch and a lowerable bathing platform

►Transom stairs, accessible by folding up the helmsman seat and a decks hatch keep the deck smooth, allowing easy access to the bathing platform

The unique silent-master-cabin concept is excluding noise from the owners personal area by consequent insulation and removing sources of noise, only the air-conditioning unit specially capsuled remainingd

►The new Hanse furniture design is featuring continuous wood grain and smoothened furniture edges

Various interior layouts in 72 possible combinations to achieve

the clients individual boat and functionality:

•Owner single stateroom with a retractable TV, head and shower or a twin stateroom with separate heads and showers, convertible by an optional flex-bulkhead

•Island galley with bar for sundowners or a classic L-shaped galley in the saloon

•Saloon with dining area on port and lounge area on starboard with

U-shaped sofas and a huge lowerable dining table on port side, convertible into an additional bed and a retractable TV

•Two guest aft-cabins with separate heads and showers or one

guest cabin on starboard with an optional second owner cabin on port side with an island bed, and an optional large head with shower

•Additional guest cabin or utility room on port side

•Sail locker or skipper cabin

Sailing Features:

A mastheight of 25,85 m above the waterline and a sail area of 157 m² upwind are ensuring the maximum performance of the boat

►As on Hanse 675, the optional furling-reacher on a second forestay allows fast reaching but also increase of upwind boat speed in lighter winds

►An optional gennaker attached on the anchor arm with a squeezer

can be added for downwind sailing

►Various sail cloth options are available featuring Elvström Dacron, FCL and HPM

►L-and T-shaped keels with three different drafts are optimized for performance and navigation in the clients relation

BC Ferries vessel Queen of Surrey is expected to remain out of commission until the end of the month, according to BC Ferries.
