JEANNEAU OUTBOARD POWERBOATS MAKE A BIG SPLASH AT THE 2016 FORT LAUDERDALE INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW

NC 895

Nov 13, 2016

In 2017, Jeanneau continues to structure and enrich its powerboat range.

The objective: continue its conquest of the American Market and develop new segments and capture more market share.

In keeping with this objective, Jeanneau is renaming in North America two lines of outboard powerboats introduced two years ago. The pocket cabin cruiser known as “Merry Fisher” has been renamed “New Concept” and the Sporty cruiser known as “Cap Camarat” has been renamed “Leader”.

Both these names are already in use within the Jeanneau family of inboard powerboats.

Nick Harvey, President of Jeanneau America, comments: “This allows us to have a very cohesive line up of Jeanneau Leader, both outboard and inboard, and the same for New Concept. Our clients will now be able to start their boating experience in our brand from 20 feet and stay with us all the way up to 46 feet. We always want to keep our clients in the Jeanneau family,” Harvey added.

Three new powerboats are presented this year at the Ft. Lauderdale Show:

1. Leader 10.5 – A SPORTY CRUISER with outboard motors!

At 33 feet, this outboard powerboat is unlike anything on the market! It combines design elements from 3 different segments of boats and comes in to fill in a void in the market. It is an outboard-powered sundeck boat with an incredibly large cabin and an immense open cockpit transformable to suit family cruising or fishing with friends.

With a maximum horsepower of 700 and top speed of 45 miles per hour, the Leader 10.5 will surprise you by its agility. Its Michael Peters (Sarasota, FL) hull design brings it the comfortable ride you expect.

Set to become a reference for weekenders in this size, the Leader 10.5 will surprise you!

2. NC 895 – A FUN FAMILY POCKET CRUISER with outboard motors!

A 28 foot pocket cruiser packed with cool features! With more light and enhanced comfort on board, the new 895 benefits from the latest advantages of the line. Her remarkably bright interior is due to wide windows on the main level, affording impressive sea views. In the two separated and fully enclosed cabins, the windows are also enlarged to benefit from an exceptional view of the exterior. Comfortable design details abound. The cockpit boasts an L-shaped salon, and can convert in a sunpad in just a few seconds. On both the interior and the exterior, the seatbacks are modular to adapt to diverse needs and preferences. Changing the ergonomics on board is as simple as child’s play! The optional forward sun mattress, in addition to the generous aft sundeck, affords a unique opportunity for relaxing in the sun. Designed for maximum livability and fully equipped for comfort on board, this model is truly made for family coastal cruising. Outboard power is a natural choice and Yamaha is Jeanneau’s partner for reliability and quietness!

3. NC 795 SPORT – The outboard power SUV OF THE SEAS

Looking for a boat to carry out your next adventure? Look no further, the NC 795 SPORT brings 25 foot of pure adventure! Imagine a floating vehicle, where you could walk around the cabin in total safety, live on the main level with full view on the sea, sleep onboard in total comfort, with a closed head and shower. All of this packages with the ease of maintenance and quietness of a 4 stroke outboard engine!

With a rugged look and an outside steering station for trolling, the NC 795 SPORT although primarily geared towards family cruising, it is also set to provide fisherman an alternative to Centre Console boats. Especially in areas with shorter seasons. How? Why?: You can now get to your fishing spot in the comfort of an enclosed cabin above deck without compromising the fishing aspect of the cockpit. Stay warm when the temps get cooler and you still want to get to that favorite fishing spot.

NC 895 Interior

Also at the center of Jeanneau’s attention: The inboard powerboat lines (Leader, NC and Velasco). This year, two new models will join an already strong presence on the global market. To meet market demands, Jeanneau is presenting the new Leader 30 at the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show and preparing the new Leader 33 for introduction at the Miami Boat Show.

By developing our product offer based on the logical extension of product lines and on constant innovation, Jeanneau continues to gain market share in the world of powerboats, and thereby attracting top professionals to its international dealer network.

ABOUT JEANNEAU

In 1957, Henri Jeanneau, already passionate about airplanes and automobiles, had just discovered a brand new passion for powerboating, one that began as he watched a boat pass by his window. Soon afterward, in Les Herbiers, France, home to a rich heritage of artisan work, he began building a wooden hull with which he participated in the 6-hour Paris race, the largest national race at the time. He was first to cross the line, and this galvanized him. So, a past time became a trade.

60 years Later, Jeanneau boats and affiliate brands are represented by a Network of over 1,000 dealers worldwide.
