Tactical’s first build is the T40-Express Yacht - Tactical One edition. All Tactical One editions have the highest trim level and include all options. This boat is currently under construction in the Vancouver shipyard with sea trials scheduled for Spring 2018. Key features of this boat are twin Seven Marine 627 HP engines (1254 HP), three station joystick controls, Seakeeper 5 Gyro stabilizing system, motorized sunroof and cockpit awning, and superyacht quality finishing.

Tactical boats are available in four different hull lengths (30’, 40’, 50’, and 60’) and six different configurations (Sportfish, Express Yacht, Crew Transport, Landing Craft, Search & Rescue, and Military). All are fortified with a hybrid foam flotation collar. Propulsion/drive system options include outboard, outdrive, surface piercing drive and jet drive. Joystick control, stabilizing system, and shock mitigating seats are just a few features that ensure Tactical boats are ready for all challenges. FUGAWI ANNOUNCES THEY WILL NO LONGER SELL DOWNLOADABLE CHARTS

Fugawi logoIn their recent newsletter on November 7, Fugawi has announced that downloadable charts sales will be available ONLY until November 30, 2018.

As of Friday, November 30, 2018 Fugawi.com will no longer sell downloadable charts, renewals, or content for use with navigation software and apps.

For those who have existing subscriptions, the site will be operational until December 31, 2019 and your Fugawi.com account will remain accessible.

INNOVATION KEY TO MARINE INDUSTRY GROWTH

Innovation is KeyMETSTRADE 2018 opened November 13th with an inspiring keynote presentation from Hervé Gastinel, Group CEO of the €1.28bn turnover international boatbuilder, Groupe Beneteau. He took the opportunity to emphasize the critical importance of innovation in product development, customer service and manufacturing transformation.

Gastinel explained how he had introduced a ‘Transform to Perform’ program focusing the 10 boatbuilders in Groupe Beneteau’s portfolio on innovation across these key areas.

TIWAL UNVEILS A NEW POCKET SAILER DREAM BIG, PACK SMALL

Tiwal Pocket SailerFollowing the success of the Tiwal 3 (nearly 1,000 boats sold), Tiwal will be presenting their latest little boat at Boot Düsseldorf: Tiwal 2, the inflatable sailing dinghy which is even lighter, more compact, and is ready to sail in 15 minutes. Tiwal intends to make the Tiwal 2 the essential toy aboard cruising boats.

Designed and developed by Marion Excoffon, the Tiwal 2 inflatable sailing boat will be unveiled at Boot Düsseldorf from 19th to 27th January 2019. This small, inflatable, single-handed 2.80 m dinghy is equipped with a loose-footed sail of 5.6m².
