Canada Metal Promote Staff, Updates Octopus Website

Canada Metal (Pacific) Ltd. named Mark Pocock its new Octopus sales manager for North, Central and South America.  At the same time, the company launched its striking Octopus website makeover.  Octopus leads the marine industry in the design, manufacture and marketing of autopilot drives.

Pocock assumes this new role from Jonathan Ingente, who now serves as Canada Metal (Pacific) Ltd.'s customer service manager.  Pocock joined the company last year.  He previously ran Suncoast Marine, the master North American distributor for Rocna Anchors, and will continue to assist Canada Metal (Pacific) with Rocna sales and marketing.

"Mark brings a wealth of sales experience and technical expertise to his new role," said John Mitchell, Canada Metal (Pacific) president.  "He'll maintain the dealer, OEM and boatbuilder relationships that are so vital to our product development and innovation."

The updated Octopus website, at www.octopusdrives.com, boasts a clean, inviting look and is rich with helpful boating tips.  Its most exciting feature is a drive selection tool that simplifies the choice of an autopilot system based on specific boat and steering types.  The user can further refine a search by cylinder size, displacement or boat length specifications.
