Charles Industries, Ltd. has announced that David (Dave) J. Wyrick has joined the company as Business Unit Director of Charles’ Marine & Industrial Group, a leading provider of AC and DC electrical systems and solutions for marine and industrial applications.
Wyrick will be charged with development, implementation, and execution of strategic product roadmaps; specification and justification of future product development; life-cycle management of existing Marine & Industrial products; and oversight of business unit engineering resources.
In his new position, Wyrick will work collaboratively with Lyle St. Romain, general manager, Marine & Industrial Group to maximize Charles’ global presence and market share in providing high-quality AC and DC electrical systems to recreational and commercial marine and industrial markets, as well as identifying applications for Charles’ power solutions in other markets. “Dave’s knowledge of stored energy solutions and his extensive experience with product design, development and management will be invaluable to growing Charles’ Marine & Industrial Business Unit,” states Robert Novak, senior vice president and COO of Charles Industries. “Our Marine & Industrial Group is highly regarded for developing innovative AC & DC solutions. The addition of Dave to our team will have an immediate impact on the successful rollout of our new IMC SeriesTM of Marine UL and 1236 listed battery chargers. Dave’s stored energy background will also allow Charles to pursue other applications for the IMC, including hybrid power installations due to the IMC’s ability to charge virtually every battery type concurrently.
Wyrick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Business Administration degree from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Management. He will be based out of Charles Industries’ corporate headquarters in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.
