Make Your Business Plans For the Port Credit In-Water Boat Show

Now celebrating its 22nd year, the Port Credit In-Water Boat Show continues to attract an ever increasing enthusiastic audience of seasoned and novice boaters.

Hosted at Port Credit Harbour Marina in Mississauga, ON, the Port Credit In-Water Boat Show is strategically located in the heart of Lake Ontario boat country.  The show is within 2 hours of South Western Ontario; Muskoka; Georgian Bay and the South Eastern Ontario, the Port Credit In-Water Boat Show is easily accessible by highway; public transit and water.

Not just a ‘new’ boats show, the Port Credit In-Water Boat Show has always featured a healthy percentage of used power and sail boats. The show is well timed at the end of August (24-26th), this show is a great place to off load any unsold 2012 product.

Show costs are extremely affordable.  Dock space begins at $300 for a 25’ slip to $650 for a dock that can easily accommodate boats up to 50’.   There is room on the hard for bulk boat displays beginning at 1,000 feet for $1.50 per square foot. Booth space begins at $350 for a 10X10 space.  Local motels and eateries are close at hand, or exhibitors can stay on their boats.  The Port Credit Harbour Marina is a full-service marina with full changing facilities.  And there are numerous other show support services including free parking, tables and chairs, canopies (at an additional cost), hydro and internet access available on request.

But the show is not just about boats.  There are numerous boat-related land displays of marine products and services.  There is the ever popular seminar tent featuring speakers on cruising, hands-on-learning and safety.  And unlike any other boat show, the Port Credit Boat Show has a marine consignment tent.  Boaters bring their ‘gently used’ product for sale at the show – all proceeds go to charity.

An aggressive and extensive advertising and promotion campaign has been set into motion beginning May, 2012. It will encompass, radio, print and internet advertising. Our internet reach will include social media tools such as Facebook; Twitter; free internet calendar sites and the Port Credit Boat Show blog – where show features and exhibitors are highlighted.

The Port Credit In-Water Boat Show has a history of successfully selling boats.  Many exhibitors return annually – in fact, dock space is over half sold.  Don’t delay in booking your space and becoming part of the only fall boat show in the GTA!

NMEA

The 2024 Marine Electronics Conference & Expo, held by the National Marine Electronics Association, (NMEA) took place September 16 to the 20th in Providence, Rhode Island. Boating Industry Canada was there for the first time and we were very impressed with what we found.

The association is very well supported and virtually any significant marine electronics company that you could name, was represented there on the Exhibitor list at the Expo as well as all being NMEA members and very supportive of the organization.
