On Sunday December 2nd it’s ‘Safe Lifting Awareness- A Roadmap to MOL Compliance‘ and later, an evening of NETWORKING! Join the group for dinner and a fun night of game shows.

For Monday December 3rd, it is an address by Byron Bolton, CEO of the Westwinn Group in Vernon, who has figured out a winning strategy for success that has allowed their business to expand while everyone else seems to be running away from the boat manufacturing business in Canada! What does Byron Bolton see in the Canadian boat building business that others are missing?
    
Everyone will need to attend the session on Water Levels -the hot issue worrying many of Ontario’s marinas! This session will explore the issues and causes of the low water levels in the Great Lake and explore possible solutions for the major issue relating to marinas & dealers.        
    
The conference will cover Boater Assist, Peer-to-Peer Workshops, (delegates will choose one topic per day) then session on A Quick Way to Boost Your Cash Flow, Improving Service Department Profits, Are your ready for new EI Rules? and finally, Closing the Sale.

A major feature is the Boating Ontario Trade Show from 1:00-5:00 pm on Tuesday December 4th.

Another feature session is Spotlight on Success which will highlight a few of the best ideas, practices and people of our industry.  Listen to Mark Lariviere, General Manager of Starport and Pat Sturgeon, owner of Pat Sturgeon Yachts Ltd. who have found some “Winning Strategies for Success” that have helped their business during these last few harder years.

The Technology Expo will help you connect with customers and operate your business more efficiently. Technology Expo topics include: Smartphones & Tablets, Using the power of the Cloud and Applications to enhance your Customer Relationship and Marketing efforts, Responsive Web Sites, and Mastering the Mobile Marketplace.

Another session deals with enabling change to help tourism and hospitality operators understand their obligations under the customer service standard, as per the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).  

You won’t want to miss the session called Leadership Planning with Tim Timpano and later John Peterson will share with us his experience of being President of Marlow-Hunter LLC and how he brought his company through an economic disaster with specific strategies to survive and succeed in the future. He will also convey his views on where the Canadian sailboat industry is going in the future.
