Snyder’s Shipyard and Maple Marine Announce a Joint Venture to Build the SCOTIA 44

The Scotia 44, a true expedition yacht, has been on seatrails since early 2011.  She is a cutter rigged, twin prop, dual helm yacht with a deck salon and pilot house.  Designed by the Maple Marine Design Group in Canada, she will premier to the public at the Miami Strictly Sail in February 2012.  Printed information will also be available in Toronto and Montreal boat shows in the NSBA (Nova Scotia Boat builders Association) booths.  She is semi-custom built with two suggested interior layouts and high class fit and finish.  She is built to CE Cat A (Unlimited Ocean), ABYC, and Canadian Coast Guard class standards.

The US market will be handled by Jordan Yacht and Ship in Fort Lauderdale.

Snyder's Shipyard in Lunenburg Nova Scotia (just south of Halifax) has been in continous operation since 1876 and builds both in traditional wood and high tech laminates.  Snyders will build the Scotia 44 alongside their ongoing build program of fiberglass trawlers in the 40-60 foot range.  Their major project presently is a replacement for Blue Nose II, the famous bank schooner, a $15 M project supported by Nova Scotia's government and many other organisations.  The new Bluenose will go into service in June 2012.  Every Scotia 44 will have a little bit of the last Bluenose's planks built into her just to carry the tradition into the future.

Four Winns’ new H9 is stunning!

CMRA

As of July 1st, 2024 the embargo is lifted on the photos and information about Four Winns’ new H9 model and it is stunning!

About a month ago, I traveled to Charlevoix, MI for a special press event to introduce the H9 to a small group of journalists.
