Volvo Penta Announces Training School Location Change in Canada
New for the 2012-2013 instructor led training season, Volvo Penta has announced that they are relocating from the former Midland location of Georgian College to a Volvo Group facility, located in Mississauga, Ontario, not far from the Toronto Pearson International airport.
The company said the decision was in response to dealers’ requests for more comprehensive training in a more central location, so Volvo Penta has decided to relocate the Canadian training facility to the Toronto area.
“The move to the Mississauga, Ontario facility,” says Fred Lachlan, Acting Site Manager for Volvo Penta Canada, “is part of Volvo Penta’s continued efforts to strengthen support of our Canadian dealer network.” The new location is the same great facility used for training technicians on both Volvo and Mack Truck. By combining the resources of the Volvo Group we will now be able to offer enhanced training and have the flexibility to adjust courses and schedules to meet the changing needs of our dealers. In addition, all instructors will be Volvo Penta employees, who are highly qualified to train on Volvo Penta product.
More information on the new Mississauga, Ontrario facility and course schedules will be available to their dealers later this year.
