BAVARIA already had plenty of positive news to announce at mid-week of the Boot Düsseldorf 2015. The CRUISER 46 won the coveted “European Yacht of the Year” award for sailing yachts, the SPORT 450 celebrated its world premiere with a large baptism, and the new service system BAVARIA+ attracted the attention of visitors and the press.

On the first Saturday of the boat show in the Düsseldorf, the CRUISER 46 was awarded the most coveted title in the yacht building industry, winning the “European Yacht of the Year” award. A total of 25 yachts were nominated in 5 categories and were extensively tested by the jury of 12 chief editors of the leading European magazines, before ultimately crowning the winner. The CRUISER 46 received this important award on behalf of the entire new cruiser line of BAVARIA, as a member of the jury said in her speech: “In a highly competitive class the CRUISER 46 won in the end against many strong candidates because it is the boat with the highest solidity and robustness. She sails very well balanced with lots of space, and sets new standards in workmanship and features. Much respect!”

In the presence of many members of the press and hundreds of visitors, the new BAVARIA SPORT 450 celebrated its anticipated world premiere and was unveiled by BAVARIA CEO Constantin von Bülow. In addition to the SPORT 450 OPEN, HARDTOP, and SOFTOP, for the first time a COUPE version was introduced for the largest motor yacht in the BAVARIA range. The SPORT 450 COUPE is on display for all visitors through Sunday.

“It’s the first time that BAVARIA in hall 16 has exhibited this catamaran together with the CRUISER- and VISION-line on one stand and we are delighted that the NAUTITECH OPEN 40 by BAVARIA CATAMARANS iy being so well received by the audience in Düsseldorf,” explains Daniel Kohl, Head of Product Development for BAVARIA, including its new catamaran line.
