The 2015 Ottawa Boat & Sportsmen’s Show celebrated its 40th anniversary this year with over 250 boats on the show floor, a dedicated area to the sports fishing community, and exciting interactive features. This event kicked off the boat buying season for exhibitors and boating enthusiasts, welcoming over 20,000 visitors Exhibitors noted that attendees were engaged buyers which provided strong sales leads over the course of the four day event.

“Pirate Cove Marina had another great presence at the 2015 Ottawa Boat and Sportsmen’s Show. The crowd that came out for the four day event was thoroughly interested in boating and fishing.  Our boat sales and upcoming marina season reflect such interest with more people getting involved in the sport.  We are looking forward to a beautiful and warm summer filled with time on the water,” said Brett Ramsey of Pirate Cove Marina

“So many people visited the 2015 Anglers’ Village area that were interested in learning more about both organized fishing opportunities in the eastern Ontario and what they could do to ensure the sustainability of their favourite fishing waters. Representatives from the five area fishing clubs were kept busy answering questions from prospective members, and distributing free Blue Fish Canada shoreline clean-up kits and fishing stewardship guides,” said Lawrence Gunther, founder of Blind Fishing Boat.

“Legend Boats, once again found success at the 2015 Ottawa Boat and Sportsmen Show. The buyers that were on site were very educated and qualified. With all of the major dealers, and brands on site, it’s a great venue for consumers to see everything and then some – all under one roof. Our valued dealers Orleans Boat World and Perth PowerSports rely on this show as the primary kick off to their season.  The number of sales, leads and impressions made at this event, proves the show’s worth as the year continues forward,” said Jesse Davis of Legend Boats
