BOATING ONTARIO SEEKS SUMMER STUDENTS

Students Summer Fun

 

The Boating Ontario Association is seeking summer students to assist with the ongoing promotions of the Boating Ontario programs to the general public through attendance at various events throughout the province.

Boating Ontario is the largest recreational marine trade association in Canada and is committed to the future of boating in Ontario. Instrumental with the implementation of various programs, Boating Ontario plays a lead role with the provincial Discover Boating Campaign, Clean Marine Program and the Careers in Boating Program.

The Program Assistant positions will entail a variety of tasks including administration, marketing, promotions, as well as public and media relations.

Administrative tasks include assisting with the organization and implementation of recreational boating events and the completion of event reports.

Marketing and Promotions tasks include: assisting with program promotions, attending recreational boating events and tradeshows with promotional displays, promoting job opportunities in the marine industry and providing general knowledge of the various Boating Ontario programs to the general public.

Public and media relation tasks include: distribution of information to Boating Ontario members, media, and the general public on the various programs and events.

Additional Qualifications include: competent computer skills, good communication skills, driver’s license, boating experience and Standard First Aid / Basic CPR.

Boating Ontario is open to hire students with disabilities, Aboriginal students and students who are members of a visible minority.
