NEW MMT INTAKE DATES FOR BC

The next Level One intake starts in October 2015, Level Two starts in January 2016. For more information: www.bcit.ca/study/programs/4630appr.
With a dire need for qualified people in the field, we are appealing to the marine industry across the province to support this program – and to promote the new intake dates and the video below on your website, in your newsletters and social media channels – with your customers, partners and staff. Promote the program to your team and encourage them to enroll.

A Marine Mechanical Technician installs, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains engines, drive trains and other mechanical, electrical and fluid systems used in the recreational marine industry. With endorsements this work involves all aspects of repairs to diesel engines, gasoline engines, outboard engines, conventional inboard drive trains and stern drives. In short, the MMT program produces the skilled trades people our industry needs and has been developed in response to an aging workforce and the need for qualified new technicians in the field. Years in development, the MMT program is a collaborative effort between Boating BC Association, Industry Training Authority (ITA) and BCIT.
