Webasto Thermo & Comfort North America, Inc. has made a significant investment in its marine division. The Fenton, Michigan-based company opened a satellite office, warehouse and tech services training center in Stuart, Florida.

David Wollard, senior director of leisure markets, continues to lead the team from this new facility, which also serves as headquarters for Webasto’s recently established marine technical services team. It opened with an office manager who relocated from the company’s Michigan location and added a position specializing in superyacht OE sales.

Webasto’s further commitment to the south Florida boating community is evident by this move. With its largest customer base within 2.5 hours of Stuart, the company also added an additional marine technical services van. In 2019, it will move to a facility three times the size of its current location where it will assume all shipping of leisure products for better quality assurance.

“Webasto’s Marine Division has enjoyed significant growth in the past eight years,” said David Wollard, senior director of leisure markets. “The move to open Florida operations is in line with our commitment to provide the highest level of service possible to our customers. We look forward to being a prominent member of the marine industry within Florida.”

WebastoThermo& Comfort North America, Inc. is the first choice supplier of marine climate control solutions to OEM, custom boatbuilders, dealers and consumers. It manufactures a full range of custom and drop-in A/C and heating units, sunroofs and shades.
