BOATING ONTARIO SPEARHEADS ACTION ON TRAILER LICENSE FINES

Trailer License Fines

September 4, 2018

Boating Ontario is doing a deep dive on the challenging issue of license plates on boat trailers. You know the ones we are talking about… the plates we wonder if we should use, which plate on which trailer? Dealer plates? Somebody’s plate that was left behind? No plate at all…

We are specifically looking for copies of your tickets and/or notice of fines.  These will contain detailed information on the section of the highway act that you are being charged with violating and this information will help us determine our approach as we move our collective message and proposed solutions to government.

They are asking that you scan and email copies of tickets/fines to our office – Then they will take it from there. Please send scans directly to rlayzell@boatingontario.ca

Boating Ontario has already met with the new Minister of Transportation and he is clearly on our side and is openly willing to help us!  Our work alongside the team at TIAO has proven extremely beneficial and TIAO is also fully supporting our efforts.

Boating Ontario appreciates your help as they begin to fight this fight for our industry. They need your input by September 15th so we can map out and begin the next steps.

They note that “This may be a long fight but if we don’t take the first steps then we will never get anywhere near the finish line!” The team also thanks you in advance for your help.
