BOATING BC NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR 2019 GLENN SPARTZ SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Boating BC is now accepting applications for the Glenn Spartz Scholarship, which offers financial support to students enrolled in Marine Mechanical Technician training at BCIT or Vancouver Island University. The scholarship is a collaboration between Boating BC and our partners in the marine propulsion sector: Mercury Marine, Yamaha, Volvo Penta, BRP/Evinrude and Suzuki Marine.

The scholarship is a response to the ongoing demand for certified marine technicians in BC and removes financial barriers for students while away from work and attending school. Launched in 2016, 25 Glenn Spartz Scholarships have been awarded to date.

The application deadline for anyone enrolled in MMT training that commences in October is Friday, September 6, 2019. For more information and to download an application form, click here.
