BOATING ONTARIO PULLS OFF A VERY SUCCESSFUL (AND PHYSICALLY DISTANCED) GOLF TOURNAMENT
Sept 15, 2020
What a (physically distant) par-tee! The Boating Ontario Annual Golf Tournament was filled with smiles, laughs, golf, and – thankfully – no rain! It was an awesome day of responsibly reconnecting with industry friends and welcoming new, partially mask-obscured faces, and a perfect way to celebrate the triumphs of the 2020 boating season.
TJ Lacey, Craig Campbell, Bob Spencer, and Nick Spencer (pictured below with Rick Layzell, Boating Ontario CEO) have even more to celebrate after an unbelievable round, putting for glory with a -16 score to earn them the tournament win!
Congratulations to Craig Campbell for also winning Longest Drive & Closest to the Pin for the men to Karrie Lacey, who won the women’s Longest Drive and Madi Lacey, who managed to land a shot Closest to the Pin. The title of Most Honest Golfers goes to our all gal group: Cynthia Hare, Judy Richardson, Linda Waddell, and Sarah Campbell.
A huge congratulations to all our winners and everyone who golfed in the tournament! We appreciate you joining us for 18 holes and supporting the marine industry. We’d also like to thank all our incredible hole sponsors as well as the event sponsors! Golfers were met with a super yummy boxed lunch courtesy of Yamaha Motor Canada and a drink ticket for the beverage cart from MD Marine Insurance. Our tasty outdoor dinner was sponsored by Suzuki Canada and facilitated safely and expertly by Innisfil Creek Golf Club. Overall, the day was a ton of fun and a great success! We hope to see everyone on the greens again in 2021!
