SEA LIFE RESCUE TO LAUNCH GLOBAL FLEET OF SHIPS TO RESTORE DECIMATED FISH STOCKS

Sea Life Rescue Teaser

Especially endangered species such as Nassau Grouper, Giant Sea Bass, Atlantic Cod and Humphead Wrasse.

Sea Life Rescue, an initiative born from veterans of the Superyacht Industry, is launching a program to release billions of fertilized eggs from an array of specially refitted vessels. This global fleet of rejuvenation ships will focus on restoring the ocean’s most critically endangered fish populations.

The mass depletion of fish stocks is an urgent wake-up call for humanity. The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) estimates that 70% of Marine Life is exhausted, overused, or in crisis. Industrial Fishing has contributed to the decimation of fish stocks that are now unable to meet the overwhelming demands of human consumption or to cope with the pollutive effects of human activity.

Trash, pollutants and carbon emissions are taking a deadly toll. Micro plastic contamination threatens the very existence of countless essential sea organisms. Shockingly, the Ocean Health Index predicts the total global collapse of Marine Life by 2048.

Sea Life Rescue has a solution. In repurposing surplus oil platform supply vessels, by refitting them as mobile marine hatcheries, they want to restock the world’s oceans. You can consider their work to be a kind of large-scale “IVF for endangered Fish.”

In addition to focusing on the US Coasts and the Caribbean, Sea Life Rescue seeks to deploy ships to impoverished countries whose fishing industries are being destroyed. This action empowers local and artisanal fisherfolk to return to the trade on which their livelihoods and autonomy have traditionally relied.

Sea Life Rescue will partner with Development Finance Institutions, prominent Marine Research Organizations, Philanthropic Foundations, Impact Investors, NGOs, likeminded Charities and the General Public to ensure the survival and replenishment of the Ocean’s vital and most critically endangered fish stocks.

Sea Life Rescue’s ultimate goal is similar to the goals of Sustainable Forestry. For every fish taken out of the oceans, they plan to put back enough fertilized eggs and juveniles to ensure a reversal of that species’ decline while providing much-needed sustenance for marine ecosystems.

The water and the weather were a bit cool but the sun was out and Lake Charlevoix was calm and the Four Winns H9 was very impressive. This is a 29-foot 11-inch luxury day boat with a 9- foot 2-inch beam and it features a fabulous expansive flat floor all the way from the bow rider area to the transom and the swim platform.
