NAVIGARE YACHTING LAUNCHES U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS DEPARTURES
Dec 8, 2020
Navigare is pleased to announce new charter departures from St Thomas in the USVI where the only travel requirement is a negative COVID test taken within 5 days of arrival for all guests 6 and up.
The bold move was swiftly negotiated between Navigare and the long-established operator CYOA, based in Frenchtown, St Thomas, in response to the constraining travel protocols to the British Virgin Islands where Navigare operates out of Nanny Cay. Initial availability will be limited to a fleet of 6 well-equipped catamarans and charter departures from December 15, 2020.
“We’re very grateful for the opportunity to partner with a solid operator out of the USVI to give our charter guests more opportunities to sail amidst the limitations of the pandemic. With only minor accommodations, our guests will sail on Navigare yachts under the same conditions and pricing as our BVI charters, but with support from the CYOA crew”, commented Jesper Rönngard, Founder and CEO of Navigare Yachting. He added, “While the economic circumstances have forced the travel industry at large to retract, we saw a chance to grow our presence in the Caribbean.”
Meanwhile Navigare Yachting is ready to welcome its first guests in Marsh Harbour, The Bahamas. Charters out of the Navigare base in Nanny Cay, in the British Virgin Islands, resumed December 1st when the country reopened its borders to tourists, but under stricter protocols in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
