NMMA Canada announced the induction of Brunswick Corporation’s Tom MacNair into the NMMA Hall of Fame on Tuesday, February 8 at the NMMA Canada Virtual State of the Industry session.

“Tom has contributed significantly to the recreational boating industry over the years. In addition to his many business accomplishments as Vice President of Brunswick’s freshwater boat group in Canada, Tom led by example by giving back to the industry,” said Sara Anghel, NMMA Canada President. “We honor him with the Hall of Fame award in recognition of his strong sense of community and tireless efforts to better recreational boating.”

As Vice President of Brunswick’s freshwater boat group, Tom was part of the team that supported Canadian dealers across the country. His passion to better the industry has been felt by many. He has served as a dedicated member of the NMMA Canada and Discover Boating Board of Directors and lead as Chair of both boards for several years uniting and growing the industry.

The NMMA Hall of Fame is the Association’s highest honor. It was established in 1988 and recognizes individuals who have, or continue to generate, substantial and lasting contributions toward the advancement of the marine industry. The award honors individuals whose names and deeds are synonymous with the pursuit of quality, innovation, and perfection within their respective spheres of expertise.

Tom McNair has a long and distinguished history of volunteer activity in several industries as well as in boating, although fishing has been a particular passion.
