IBEX 2013 REGISTRATION TRACKS AHEAD

IBEX

Organizers of the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) report totals for attendee pre-registration, workshop and seminar enrollment, new exhibitors, and total exhibitors have increased from last year. They are planning for strong attendance to this year’s show, which begins next Tuesday, September 17.

“We are delighted that there is so much anticipation and excitement for IBEX this year,” said Anne Dunbar, IBEX Show Director. “The increase in our pre- registration numbers reflects continued optimism and growth in our industry after some tough economic times. We have more than 65 new companies exhibiting – which is another good sign. There will be lots of new products and innovation to see and experience."

IBEX will have several cutting-edge boats on display. Attendees can view the single-handed skiff, MxNext from International MX Composites; the diesel-electric, solar-powered drive systems aboard the Greenline Hybrid from Greenline Yachts; and the purpose-built boat for saltwater fly fishing in the Northeast, the Flyfisher 22, designed by Van Dam Custom Boats and built by The Landing School.
In addition to the new technologies and innovations on display on the show floor, attendees will also have access to IBEX networking events such as the Opening Night Party in downtown Louisville at Fourth Street LIVE!, the All-Industry IBEX Bourbon & Brew Happy Hour, a Composite Cocktail Competition, and Compliance and Standards Coffee.

The exhibit hall is free for qualified attendees, along with several other great opportunities including ConnectWorld, a new live, interactive demonstration area offering education on how to interconnect marine devices using all available options and a special session on Hispanic Engagement, Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.

“IBEX is the place where the thought leaders of our industry advance marine products and technologies,” said Thom Dammrich, president of NMMA. “In just three days a significant amount of business will be conducted at IBEX – which will positively impact the marine industry in 2014 and beyond.”

The association is very well supported and virtually any significant marine electronics company that you could name, was represented there on the Exhibitor list at the Expo as well as all being NMEA members and very supportive of the organization.
