PATTI TRAPP NAMED DIRECTOR OF QUALITY AT MERCURY MARINE

Mercury Marine announced that Patti Trapp has been promoted to the position of Director of Quality.
 
In her new role, Trapp is responsible for setting quality system standards and implementing them across all Mercury Marine functions.
 
“Patti’s in-depth process expertise and engineering background are crucial for this role,” said John Pfeifer, Mercury Marine’s vice president of global operations.  “Plus, her passion for quality and building quality into the process used to make the product is key to continuous improvement in everything we do.”
 
Trapp is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Tennessee Technological University.  She has held various quality and engineering positions within the Brunswick Boat Group and Mercury Marine for the past nine years. Prior to joining Brunswick, Trapp co-managed four plant start-ups, led numerous product launches and quality system deployments while holding engineering and quality roles in the automotive industry, with Dell Computer and at Lexmark International. A Certified Quality Engineer and Certified Quality Auditor by the American Society for Quality (ASQ), she is the Outgoing Chair, Chair of the Criteria and Scoring Sub-Committee, Master Scorekeeper, a Master Judge and a trainer for the ASQ International Team Excellence Award process.
