ABBRA And ABYC Collaborate To Bring Training Online
The American Boat Builders & Repairers Association (ABBA) is collaborating with the American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC) to bring ABYC’s new webinar training format to ABBRA members. The first ABBRA/ABYC webinar, entitled “Environmental, Health, and Safety Compliance, an Investment in your Company,” is scheduled for Wednesday, December 7, at 1:00 p.m.
The initial live, interactive online ABBRA/ABYC session, presented by Kellie Crete, president and CEO of Ink, Inc., will review new Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA) fines and instruct participants on how to remain compliant at their own facilities.
“The subject resonates specifically with professionals who own or manage boatyards, boatbuilding facilities, and marinas,” Pam Lendzion, president of ABBRA, says. “ABYC’s webinar series allows ABBRA members and their employees to take part in these trainings without leaving the job site.”
“Our new webinar program allows us to offer technical training to more professionals than ever before because there is no travel, no per diem. Simply log into the site,” Skip Burden, president of ABYC, states. “We’re reaching out to more industry members who will benefit from ABYC’s standards and electrical training and, because of this joint effort between associations, ABBRA’s technical training.”
