Become an ABYC Electrical Certified Tech by Summer!

The fastest growing area of the marine business is electronics and employment opportunities abound for well-qualified people.

Now anyone from anywhere with access to a personal computer with a DVD drive can study for this ABYC standards-based, marine electrical certification when and where they want. The DVD is the next step in an evolutionary approach to internet-based training, education, and workforce certification.

The course was designed for the marine employee with at least 3 years experience working with marine electricity. This is an intense academic course and the material presented is a necessity for the safety of the boating public and for marine businesses to mitigate the risks of electrocution, fire, personal injury and possible death aboard boats and on docks.

There is a special ABYC Member Price is $695.00, and this includes DVD, Study Materials, S&H and Testing. The Regular price is $600 per package plus a separate testing fee of $225, so this is a $130 savings. Non-Member prices are higher.

Proctored certification testing will be made available through the coordination with the ABYC staff. This distance learning course, and ABYC membership can be ordered by contacting Cris Gardner or Sandy Brown at ABYC, 410-990-4460. This offer is not available on the ABYC Website.
