Blast Performance Sailing Launches in Vancouver, BC

Blast Performance Sailing has announced a new charter service for sailors and racers featuring a pair of Farr 40’s.

They ask prospective clients; “Have you ever wanted to charter a Farr 40 for some fun in a Pacific North West Race? Imagine a fully equipped race boat with a full set of sails, safety gear ready to go for Southern Straights, Swiftsure, Halibut Bank, Anvil Island, Whidbey Race Week or local round the can racing. Perhaps you and your crew are ready for the ultimate Pacific North West Sailing Adventure.”

Blast Performance Sailing has acquired the rights to the Van Isle 360 International Yacht Race www.vanisle360.com .

Blast Performance Sailing suggests their pair of boats are ideal for settling which crews are top drawer with a “friendly” Yacht Club versus Yacht Club crew challenge. They can organize a day of friendly Match Racing or a fun performance sail to Bowen Island for lunch and back for après sail activities at a local waterfront hotel.

Blast Performance Sailing has two identical Farr 40 sailboats ready to charter. Your team does not require previous sailing experience as they can arrange for each boat to have experienced sailors on board to ensure a great day on the water.

In addition to the two Farr 40’s Abracadabra and Shaazam, Blast Performance Sailing is a Canadian Yachting Association School offering on the water basic learn to race keelboat programs. As well several performance related on the water clinics such as “So you want to be a bow person”, “No Screaming Allowed” which is perfect for crew looking to tame their skipper and the ever popular “Taming of the colourful balloon like sail” also known as Spinnaker Handling.

Performance gear the shop stocks includes technical sailing clothing from Gill (ask about their junior sailing program), Spinlock Deckvest’s & tethers, PRO-tech specialty tapes to reduce line chaffing and Harkan gear.
