Canadian Racer Joins All-Female Racing Team For 24 Heures Motoautiques Rouen

For the first time in the 48-year history of the 24 HEURES MOTOAUTIQUES ROUEN an all-female racing team has decided to compete in Class II to conquer the River Seine.

The worlds best female in-shore pilots including Bimba Sjoholm of Sweden, Marie-Line Hericher of France and Canadian Tammy Wolf have come together to form the greatest international all-female racing team to compete at this event.

This Internationally renowned competition is part of the World Long Distance Championship (www.24heuresrouen.com) held, May 26, 27 and 28, 2012 and includes over three day’s of competition.

International media will join over 400,000 spectators, traveling from around the world to watch this historical event and this team.  The team is currently working hard to gather sponsorship and necessary equipment for the event.

Duncan Peacock, resident of Kitimat BC and member of Kitimat Marine Search and Rescue and RCMSAR Unit 63, has been awarded the 12th annual Tim Jones Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Outdoor Community in British Columbia.

Peacock has been a member of Kitimat Marine Search and Rescue and RCMSAR Unit 63 for 31 years, making him one of the longest-serving members in the province.
