Register Today to Attend “Building Bench Strength – How Strong Is Yours?”

What happens when you don’t have a strong bench?

The Indianapolis Colts just found out. Quarterback great Peyton Manning did not lead his team onto the field at the start of this season for the first time in 227 consecutive games. Apparently the coaches were caught off guard; nobody seems to have planned for that eventual likelihood. The Colts were left scrambling and had to bring 38-year-old Kerry Collins out of retirement, and were quickly onto another quarterback! The result? The Colts finished the season 2-14! Unfortunately, we see this same pattern played out every day in business.

“How strong is my bench?” It’s a question that every marine dealer should be asking. It is easy to miss during the day-to-day firefighting that engulfs most businesses.

Register today to attend David Spader’s business development session at the Toronto International Boat Show, Tuesday, January 17th, starting at 8:30am in the Presentation Theatre. The session is FREE for TIBS Exhibitors; click here to RSVP to elissacampbell@kerrwil.com.

A strong bench helps you sell more today. A strong bench secures vital customer relationships. A strong bench is obviously an essential component of your future business success yet, less than 15% of companies in North America believe they have the bench strength to fill key positions in the future.

The actions you take today to nurture your future leaders will: (1) determine how quickly and strongly they develop, (2) dramatically affect the growth of your business, and (3) significantly affect your succession planning process.

The tough question many dealers ask is, “How can I determine which employees are best suited for leadership roles?”

David Spader’s session will help you select those who have future potential by evaluating them in 3 areas. Come to this session to learn about those three areas.

Here are the concepts we’ll cover:
The Most Common Management Succession Mistakes
The 3 Fits of Future Leaders… and the Single Most Important and Most Often Missed
How Long Should It Take?
How Can I Accurately Assess the Capabilities of Future Managers/Leaders?
Why You Should Make Them Earn It & What Happens if They Don’t?

David Spader’s 2-hour session is hosted by Boating Industry Canada magazine in partnership with General Electric Commercial Distribution Finance (GE CDF).

You must RSVP to reserve a seat. This was a “sold-out” event last year. Email your RSVP to elissacampbell@kerrwil.com to reserve a place in this important session.
