This year’s 2017 Boating BC Conference presented by Mercury Marine celebrated 60 Years of Boating in BC. The recreational boating industry has overcome obstacles and grown tremendously by working together as a united group and adapting to changing business landscapes. The conference topics explored succession planning, selling to new audiences, how to continually innovate our businesses, and industry trends and updates.

Each year the conference is the premier event for networking with current and new colleagues and learning from business and industry experts. The Conference consistently creates an environment rich in camaraderie through shared activities, receptions and great entertainment. It’s no surprise that each November, British Columbia’s recreational boating industry feels just a little bit stronger and more united than the year before.

Boating BC President, Don Prittie, and First Vice President & Treasurer, Mike Short lead the open forum discussions, and answer questions related to membership.

Lisa Geddes Executive Director of Boating BC summed it up; “We were extremely pleased with this year’s Boating BC Conference. It really is the only time during the year when the industry comes together and we’re not working. It’s such a great time to learn, connect, get inspired and leave ready to take on another year. The feedback from our attendees echoes that and we know they look forward to it every year.”
