A LARGER, AND SMALLER, CLEAR START™ SAILING WATCH RANGE

Sailing Watch

Understanding that no two sailors are alike, Ronstan has just expanded its Clear Start sailing watch range with two new styles and five new models designed specifically for sailors.  They include a new smaller size watch that is perfect for women and youth sailors, as well as two attractive new stainless steel models for sophisticated yet functional everyday use.

The compact new Clear Start 40mm models work well for anyone with a slimmer wrist. They offer all the same sail race functionality of the full size Clear Start watches in a smaller package that helps reduce the bulky feel of a large watch on a small wrist. Manufactured from lightweight and flexible polyurethane, they feature an integrated watchband for a secure fit and are available in three fashionable and eye catching colors.

Ronstan has also introduced two elegant Stainless Steel versions of its full size Clear Start sailing watch. As comfortable at any black tie affair as they are on the starting line, these new models feature Ronstan’s ultra-clear sapphire coated lens for maximum readability and scratch resistance, as well as more traditional cloth or stainless steel bands for a truly professional look.

All Clear Start models offer large buttons, easy-to-read displays and Ronstan’s advanced Clear Start sail race programming. This includes Race Sequence Re-synchronization, pre-programmed ISAF 5-4-1-0 and Match Racing sound sequences, end of sequence countdown or count up timing and a multi-line display that shows both the real time and the countdown time on the same screen. All are water resistant to up to 50m (150ft), highly shock resistant and feature a bright luminescent backlit display for night sailing.  This proven Clear Start sail race functionality  was recently selected by Chris Nicholson for use aboard Team Vestas Wind during the upcoming around-the-world Volvo Ocean Race.

All 5 new models join Ronstan’s existing Clear Start sailing watch and timer range of products and are available now.
