AQUANAUTE’S “RENDEZ-VOUS NAUTIQUE” EVENT WINS SILVER AWARD IN BEST NAUTICAL EVENT OF THE YEAR CATEGORY

AMQ Gala 2016

May 30, 2016

During its 20th anniversary evening Gala, the Quebec Maritime Association (QMA) presented the Silver Award to Aquanaute Training Centre (ATC) for its “Rendez-vous Nautique”, in the Best Nautical Event of the Year category.

Over 250 guests attended this evening of celebration highlighted by an Awards ceremony where the QMA presented its “Nautique” awards to top boating industry personalities and marine businesses in Quebec.

The Aquanaute Training Centre, recipient of a Silver “ Nautique”,  was founded in 2002, specializing in hands-on boating courses, organizing yearly Safe Boating Campaigns, and working with both government organizations and marine manufacturers towards the improvement of boating safety.

In the summer of 2004, the Rendez-vous Nautique was held for the first time on the beach of the Oka National Park, in the outskirts of Montreal, to promote safety with pleasure craft operators.

The outstanding success of the event encouraged ATC to expand the event, welcoming all boaters as well as the public at large.

Today the Rendez-vous Nautique is still the only boating event of its kind in Quebec. Given its continuous success, Aquanaute will host the 13th edition of the Rendez-vous Nautique on July 9-10, 2016.
