BAXTER MARINE GROUP ACQUIRES WHEELHOUSE TECHNOLOGIES INC., VESSEL VANGUARD & SEAKITS

Bonita Springs Florida. Baxter Marine Group announces the acquisition of Wheelhouse TechnologiesTM, VesselVanguardTM and SeaKits BrandTM creating the largest most advanced maintenance management and software company in the marine industry.

The combined Companies support over 3,000 commercial, military, charter and recreational watercraft worldwide. Intuitive user tools, mobile applications, work orders, inventory and advanced telematics give owners and operators complete command of their vessel’s operations.

Rick Heine, Baxter Marine Group Chairman said, “Our goal is to provide the marine industry with the most advanced and intuitive systems to improve vessel reliability, safety, and reduce operational costs significantly.”

Donald Hyde, founder of Vessel Vanguard, agreed and added, “We created this application space ten years ago and it has evolved into an indispensable tool to reduce warranty claims and elevate customer satisfaction. This transaction infuses financial resources and technical expertise driving an innovative customer experience that will be unique in the industry.”

The 2024 Marine Electronics Conference & Expo, held by the National Marine Electronics Association, (NMEA) took place September 16 to the 20th in Providence, Rhode Island. Boating Industry Canada was there for the first time and we were very impressed with what we found.

The association is very well supported and virtually any significant marine electronics company that you could name, was represented there on the Exhibitor list at the Expo as well as all being NMEA members and very supportive of the organization.
