BOATING INDUSTRY NAMES SEA RAY A 2018 TOP PRODUCT

Sea Ray Awards

May 8, 2018

It’s new. It’s extraordinary. It’s versatile. These are just three of the many reasons the editors of Boating Industry included the Sea Ray SDX 250 Outboard in their prestigious 2018 Top Product list. This award is the latest in a long line of accolades awarded to Sea Ray by the most prominent members of the global boating industry.

To be selected to the fifth annual Boating Industry’s Top Products list each product must have been introduced or significantly updated since January 1, 2017. The 2018 Top Products range from accessories to marine engines to boats; services for the marine industry are also included. Hundreds of products were nominated, but only 50 were awarded this prestigious honor. Winners were selected for their impact on the marine industry, product innovation and how the individual product or service advanced its category.

“The Sea Ray SDX 250 Outboard’s large portside lounge and opposing starboard seating configuration create a unique place for passengers to gather and socialize,” said Boating Industry Editor Tim Hennagir. “The portside walkthrough, with easy bow access to additional opposing seating, is also impressive. Boating Industry was also intrigued by the Sea Ray SDX 250 Outboard’s transom design, which preserves swim platform space while allowing for outboard propulsion.”

Sea Ray is the most awarded boat brand in the world and is continually recognized for its dedication to delivering a superior boating experience to every member of the family every time they are on the water. Sea Ray’s goal of building a lifestyle that redefines the boating experience is made obvious through each model’s premier craftsmanship and richness of finishes, combined with decades of expertise building the most sophisticated sport boats, cruisers and yachts on the water, and the company’s unwavering dedication to customer service and community. Sea Ray truly is more than a boat, and industry insiders continue to notice.

“We are honored Boating Industry selected the Sea Ray SDX 250 Outboard as a 2018 Top Product,” said Brad Anderson, president and general manager, Sea Ray Sport Boats and Sport Cruisers. “All of us at Sea Ray know each boat we make offers unparalleled quality and an unmatched experience on the water. It’s an honor that one of the most discerning and respected influencers in our industry, Boating Industry, recognized the craftsmanship and pride we take in each boat we make. We are proud to be a 2018 Top Product.”
