BOUNDARY ROAD SWING BRIDGE #44: TEMPORARY CLOSURE TRENT-SEVERN WATERWAY

Boundary Road Swing Bridge

Parks Canada advises that the Boundary Road Swing Bridge over the Trent-Severn Waterway on Simcoe Street near Bolsover will be closed for inspection on Monday, July 27 and Tuesday, July 28, 2015, during daylight hours. A severe weather date has been set for Wednesday, July 29.

This work is being carried out as a part of the previously announced bridge rehabilitation project. The bridge remains safe for public use.

Alternate  routes  across the canal include the high level fixed bridge on County  Road 50, via Highway 48, and Bolsover Swing Bridge #43 on Bolsover Road.

Marine  navigation on the Trent-Severn Waterway will not be affected as the bridge will remain swung in the open position during the inspection.
