Career opportunities in boating

Scroll to the bottom of your Boating Industry Canada News Week Digest and you will find the Career Opportunities section (it’s also on the website https://boatingindustry.ca/careers) and there are some very impressive opportunities listed for those who want to build their future and their income.

‘Just a reminder – we list your Career Opportunities at no charge, to support the industry. With a weekly circulation of almost 6,000 people in the marine industry, Boating Industry Canada News Week Digest is a great way to connect with the people you need to build your business.

Last week my Editor’s Message had the title, “How engaged are you in the industry?” The point was to encourage active membership in your marine trade association, (MTA). All the MTAs work together on such important issues as opposing the luxury tax that is now being imposed on new boats worth over $250,000; on the new regulations around “electronic visual distress signal devices” or as the government is calling them (eVDSDs); on the discussions at Transport Canada to possibly approve motorized surfboards for sale in Canada and now, public input about vessel noise restrictions.

There is a very brief time left for public consultation – Transport Canada has a website set up: https://letstalktransportation.ca/mss

This “Let’s talk transportation” web page closes May 13th. Take a minute to look through the issues that are under discussion and send your input to Transportation Canada. And work with your MTA on any important issues – it’s too late after that.
