CC MARINE HELPS CELEBRATE SIERRA’S 50TH ANNIVERSARY

2016 CC Marine Show

At the 2016 CC Marine Distributors’ 2016 Trade Show, they wheeled out a special cake to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Sierra marine engine and drive parts. Now part of SeaStar Solutions, Sierra was a critically important part of the success that CC Marine has enjoyed all these years and the individual who helped get that all started was Russ Woodard who attended the reception as well as Tom Douglas, the VP for SeaStar Solutions. In an interesting twist, we learned that Tom Douglas’ first day in the marine industry was at the 1982 IMTEC show when he met Charlie Bulmer!

The evening started with Andy Adams from Boating Industry Canada magazine who briefly recapped the amazing and colourful history of the CC Marine organization and shared with the audience how Sierra began their now 34 year association with CC Marine. In the October 2016 issue of Boating Industry Canada magazine, we profile Charlie Bulmer and CC Marine as they head into their 85th year in 2017.

Sierra's 50th AnniversaryThe show seemed very well attended and the dealers we spoke to all were reporting that they had enjoyed strong sales this past summer.

The show concluded Monday October 24.
