CDI ELECTRONICS LAUNCHES REPAIR SERVICE FOR FICHT EFIS

Ficht Repair

CDI Electronics today announced the launch of a program to repair Ficht Electronic Fuel Injection (“EFI”) units manufactured from 1997 to the present time.  Johnson/Evinrude (BRP) no longer manufactures or services Ficht EFI’s, and Aftermarket service options have been very limited.

Offered within the company’s Premier Repair Services, CDI will accept failed Ficht EFI units and provide complete diagnostic analyses and repair services, including updating the EFI’s firmware to the latest release.  In addition, CDI will also provide proprietary M.E.D.S. Check Reports with returned units describing all operational parameters (including runtime and fault history) contained in the EFI’s permanent memory.

Thomas James, CDI Sales Manager explained, “CDI Electronics has a long history of providing needed repair services to the Marine Aftermarket.  In fact, CDI started as an ignitions repair business in 1983.  Even today our new product development projects begin with diagnosing and eliminating failure modes on OEM designs.  Therefore our addition of Ficht EFI repair support is a natural extension of our existing Premier Repair Services business unit.”

To learn more about CDI Electronics’ Premier Repair Services or to place an order for a Ficht EFI repair, simply call the CDI Tech Support Line at 866-423-4832 or visit the CDI Electronics website at www.cdielectronics.com/premier-repair-service/
