Sven Göbel, since 2012 a member of the Executive Board of HanseYachts AG, the second-largest series shipyard worldwide, will leave the company on 10 July 2022 after ten years to take on new challenges.

Since joining HanseYachts AG in 2012, Sven Göbel has successfully led the company through restructuring and subsequent strategic realignment. As Spokesperson of the Executive Board with responsibilities as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, he played a key role in shaping the company’s subsequent growth phase, which saw sales almost double and the number of employees triple. As Chief Financial Officer of the listed company, he was responsible for financial market communications and installed the complex reorganization of the Group’s financing structure.

Hanjo Runde, Chairman of the Executive Board of HanseYachts AG, said, “On behalf of the entire management of HanseYachts AG, we thank Sven Göbel for ten years of full commitment, with numerous challenges and many successes.”

On 1 June 2022 Jan Brockmöller (51) will take over as the new CFO of HanseYachts AG. Jan Brockmöller is a proven financial expert with extensive experience in the renewable energy and mechanical and plant engineering sectors. He has many years of expertise through various commercial management positions at Shell and Siemens, among others. As CFO at Siemens Gamesa he was responsible for the onshore wind business in the EMEA region. Since January 2020 he has served as Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director of the Buss Group.

“HanseYachts AG has defined its strategic goals for the coming years. The realignment on the Executive Board will help us achieve our goal of profitable growth in the coming years in a currently very positive market,” said CEO Hanjo Runde.
