CMP Group Ltd. is pleased to announce the promotion of Michael Szwez to Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, effective March 3, 2025.

As the marine industry navigates an evolving global landscape marked by shifting trade policies, tariffs, and economic fluctuations, CMP is reinforcing its leadership by strengthening its executive team. With extensive experience in strategic sales, market expansion, and industry advocacy, Michael Szwez is poised to drive CMP’s global growth and ensure a unified approach to delivering exceptional value to customers worldwide.

Since joining CMP through the Dock Edge acquisition in 2019, and with his extensive experience prior to that, Michael has played a pivotal role in accelerating business growth, strengthening customer relationships, and executing innovative marketing strategies. With 34 years in the marine industry, he has cultivated strong partnerships and earned a stellar reputation among customers and industry stakeholders worldwide.

In addition to his leadership at CMP, Michael is a longstanding and influential board member of the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), where he actively contributes to shaping policies that impact the marine industry. His deep industry knowledge, strategic vision, and commitment to advocacy make him a critical force in advancing the sector’s interests in an era of increasing regulatory and economic challenges.

Michael will continue as a key member of the executive leadership team and actively participate in Quarterly Board of Directors meetings, helping shape the company’s long-term strategic direction.
