COBALT BOATS AND MARKER ONE DONATE TO AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION AND FOLDS OF HONOR

Upon completion of the annual dealer meeting held this past fall at Table Rock Lake in Branson, Missouri, Cobalt Boats and Marker One were able to make two generous charity donations to the American Heart Association and Folds of Honor.

During the extensive weeklong training session, dealers, vendors and associates came together to participate in the annual Fun Run/Walk. This special get-together was originated by George Muffick, Northeast Regional Sales Manager of Cobalt Boats and Marker One. Muffick won his battle against cancer in 2008 and wanted to rally the Fun Run/Walk and donate the proceeds to a charitable cause. “Now in its 7th year, the Fun Run/Walk is an event we all look forward to at the dealer meeting. It’s a time to put down the books and get outside and raise money for a great cause,” says Muffick.

In addition to the annual Fun Run/Walk, participants from the dealer meeting also came together for a Silent Auction. Dealers were able to bid on their favorite teams in hope to choose the winners of the run. The auction also featured a commemorative etched bottle of Cobalt wine showcasing the American Flag from Sherwin Family Vineyards. The striking hand-etched, painted bottle adorned the words “In God We Trust” and “United We Stand”. The back of the bottle also states that it was proudly created “in remembrance of those lost on September 11, 2001”. Mike Tutor from Marine Sales of Pickwick was the winner of the beautiful commemorative bottle with a notable and especially appropriate bid of $9,110, symbolic of the September 11th historical event. Soon, a check will be sent to the American Heart Association in the amount of $15,360. In addition, Cobalt dealer, German Brothers donated $750 to the Folds of Honor program.

Cobalt Boats and Marker One again want to thank each of our dealers who participated in the philanthropic activities. “We are especially thankful for our very generous group of dealers, and we are pleased to report that the winners have all donated their “winnings” back as donations,” reports Gavan Hunt, VP of Sales and Marketing. “We are also looking forward to donating to the Folds of Honor Program this year through our flagpole initiative. As of January 1, 2015, for each flagpole sold, we will donate the proceeds to this wonderful organization in honor of those who have fought for our country.”
