Volvo Penta Canada has announced the winners of their contest for Next Generation Gasoline Engines and the Forward Drive. The purpose of the contest was to educate and further reinforce the benefits of Volvo Penta engines and drives while making selling fun, creating engagement and boosting team spirit. It was also part of a motivational program that rewards salespeople raised on their sales and results.

Volvo Penta rewarded the top 50 Volvo Penta salespeople in North America. Registration was open to all sales personnel at boat selling dealerships and the first 200 registrants got a Volvo Penta Welcome Kit. The contest ran from approximately June 1 to September 30 of last year.

Duncan JessimanIt was based on retail sales of each individual sales person at the dealership. Each sales person had to first qualify for the contest by completing a short online Quiz that Volvo Penta had put together on a Customized Volvo portal. Upon attaining an 80% pass rate, each sales person then submitted a screen shot of a completed retail registration to Volvo. Sales were tabulated at the end of the time period and the winners were announced. Many prizes were awarded but the First Prize was an all–expense paid trip to Puerto Vallarta and Second Prize was an all–expense paid trip to Nashville.
