KCS International, Inc., parent company of Cruisers Yachts, significantly expanded its manufacturing and production capacity with the acquisition of the nearby Pulaski, Wisconsin manufacturing facility that formerly built Carver and Marquis brand yachts. The transaction focused on a state-of-the art, purpose-built manufacturing facility, located in a community with a highly skilled workforce with generational heritage in yacht construction.

“The opportunity to acquire this world class facility will allow us to meet customer demands and expand our very aggressive new product development schedule” said Mark Pedersen, President of KCS International. “Our global dealership partners have done an excellent job expanding our market share across our full product line-up.  With the recent addition of MarineMax as a new dealer in select markets, we needed this facility to increase our production.  We have experienced unprecedented growth over the past 24 months, and this facility will help us meet our customers’ current and future demands.”

The Pulaski, Wisconsin facility is located on approximately 15 acres of land, and includes approximately 216,000 square feet of manufacturing space.  The facility includes an enclosed, in-water testing, research and development tank, and will accelerate substantial growth by Cruisers Yachts.  Mr. Pedersen said: “Innovation in product design and marine engineering always has been critical to Cruisers Yachts’ success.  We will continue our long tradition of offering our dealers and our customers the best cruising class yachts in the world.”

In addition, to meet growing demand, Cruisers Yachts anticipates hiring approximately 150 additional crew members to work at the acquired Pulaski facility, and approximately 75 additional crew members to work at its current Oconto, Wisconsin corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility.
