DOWCO ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION OF PREMIER PLASTICS

Premier Plastics

Apr 11. 2016

Dowco has announced its recent acquisition of Premier Plastics and Leisure Designs of Hoyt Lakes, MN.

Premier Plastics is a manufacturer of rotational molded and vacuum formed plastic components for the marine, powersports and construction industries. The company operates from a modern 35,000 sq. ft. facility located in Hoyt Lakes, MN and a second facility in Eveleth, MN.

Leisure Designs, a subsidiary of Premier Plastics, is a manufacturer of marine furniture systems with manufacturing operations located in Pine City, MN.

“We are excited about this acquisition as it allows us to expand our capabilities with our current customers, and it opens doors for Dowco to build relationships with Premier’s strong customer base,” says Dowco’s COO Kevin Rolain. “Dowco has long standing relationships with many of the leading boat manufacturers and all of the leading powersports manufacturers. This will provide more solutions and products to offer our existing and new customers. Throughout the years, our customers have asked Dowco to provide innovative plastic components and seating solutions to help solve their product development and manufacturing challenges. This acquisition will help us meet those needs”

Many of Dowco’s senior executives have experience in the plastics manufacturing industry so there is a solid base of internal Dowco expertise that will be leveraged to integrate and expand the companies together.

Premier Plastics and Leisure Designs will continue to serve customers and operate their manufacturing operations as usual. Over the coming months, Dowco will evaluate each area of the company’s operations to determine how to best serve our customers.
