ENVGO NV1 Canadian Electric Foiling Boat Highlighted in Canadian Boating and at TIBS

January 27, 2026

The highlight of the 2026 Toronto International Boat Show was the world debut of the Canadian ENVGO NV1 electric foiling cruiser. Lead by Mike Peasgood, the team who created the NV1 were developers of specialized drones and they applied their knowledge and skills to the NV1.

This is the first electric foiling boat of its kind in Canada and the introduction at the Toronto International Boat Show drew an enthusiastic and interested crowd to their unveiling on January 19th, 2026. The next day on January 20th, Ontario Premiere Doug Ford made a personal appearance at the ENVGO display, meeting the ENVGO Team and admiring the striking NV1 on its raised display.

Last fall, before the public introduction, Canadian Boating magazine Managing Editor Andy Adams had a personal morning to examine the NV1 and to experience “flying” above the waves in Lake Ontario as he did a boat review for the January issue.

Of course, such a striking and advanced boat deserves to be on the cover. In the photo above, Mike Peasgood holds up a copy of the Canadian Boating January Boat Show issue while he speaks to Andy Adams at the show. During the Toronto Boat Show over 2,000 issues of Canadian Boating with the ENVGO NV1 on the cover were given away to visitors to the Canadian Boating and PORTS Cruising Guide booth.
