Recognizing the best products for over 60 years, the distinction “Red Dot” has become established internationally as one of the most sought-after seals of design quality. The annual award is given in three disciplines: the Red Dot Award: Product Design, Red Dot Award: Communication Design and Red Dot Award: Design Concept.

“We are honored to be selected for this internationally recognized designation for excellence in design,” said Tracy Crocker, President, BRP Marine Group. “Evinrude’s storied history has always included pushing the envelope to accentuate new engine technology. We strive to continually improve our engines to drive the industry forward and add to our customer’s overall experience.”

A panel of roughly 40 experts evaluated the products’ level of innovation, functionality, formal quality, ergonomics and durability to thoroughly conclude which concept merits the distinction. The Red Dot jury’s statement on its selection of the Evinrude E-TEC G2 notes the “distinctive appearance enabling personalization which characterizes this outboard motor platform.
