EXCITING PLANS UNDERWAY FOR IBEX 2014 TO BE HELD IN TAMPA, FLORIDA

The Tampa Convention Center will be home for the 2014 International BoatBuilders' Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) and will offer several new and exciting features including boats that will occupy dock space. This premier marine technology showcase and conference will attract thousands of high level marine professionals-boatbuilders, engineers, designers, composite professionals, and others who will attend to see the newest products and services from over 500 exhibiting companies from Tuesday, September 30 – Thursday, October 2, 2014.
 
"Last year we announced we were going to rotate the show between Louisville, KY and Tampa, FL and have had a great response from the exhibitors who are looking forward to showcasing their products and services in the Florida market,"said Anne Dunbar, IBEX Show Director. "Our exhibit space for the 2014 event is already 90% sold with leading industry marine product and accessory manufacturers who will be returning as well as dozens of new companies offering new products, advanced processes, and impressive innovations."
 
For the first time at IBEX, the event will feature leading manufacturers including Mercury Marine, Volvo Penta, Torqeedo Inc., Honda Marine who will be exhibiting in the dock space adjacent to the Tampa Convention Center. The exhibit hall will also feature the Composites Pavilion and the Education, Standards and Compliance Pavilion.  
 
The IBEX Education Program, produced by Professional BoatBuilder magazine and the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) will offer several new features including an Exhibitor Workshop Theater on the show floor, On-The- Water Demonstrations, and dozens of relevant sessions focusing on hot topics and issues.

"The IBEX Seminar Series offers world-renowned technical education from fundamental skills to cutting-edge advanced training and is designed for shop floor crew, seasoned technicians, and company officers," Dunbar added. "The conference program will offer new and exciting updates for 2014 and will be announced in the spring along with the keynote presenters and special events."
 
The Tampa Convention Center, a world-class event space, located on the waterfront, is within walking distance of many hotels, fine restaurants and attractions, including Tampa's Riverwalk, a popular pedestrian byway.
