GREAT LAKES HIGH WATER LEVELS DAMAGE

Macdonald Turkey Point Marine

Jan 14, 2020

Brad Thomson, General Manager at MacDonald Turkey Point Marina sent us this letter reporting that he and Rick Layzell, CEO of Boating Ontario, met with The Honourable Diane Finley, MP for Haldimand-Norfolk recently regarding Lake Erie and the Great Lakes’ high water levels.

Boating Ontario sent out a letter a few months ago for anyone to personalize and send to all levels of government to let them know the impact of lake levels and water surges on their industries and organizations.

Please find the Boating Ontario letter template attached here as well as the letter that MacDonald Turkey Point Marina Inc. sent to the International Joint Commission (IJC) as well as all levels of government.  You will also find the link below to a video that Brad Thomson prepared for presentation to Diane Finley.

He invited us to forward this information to any other business, organization or property associations that you know have also been impacted by the high water levels.

We all need our voices heard to push government for a resolution of this very important matter.  Please feel free to use Boating Ontario’s letter template, or create your own, and send off to all levels of government as soon as possible.

Here is the video Brad sent us.
