HanseYachts Secures Further Financing and Appoints New CEO

HanseYachts AG

January 6, 2026

In late December, HanseYachts AG, Germany’s largest manufacturer of sailing yachts and motorboats, announced that it is setting its sights on strong growth in the new year. This is to be achieved primarily through a personnel realignment of the company’s management, which will once again consist of two co-CEOs in the future. As a first step, the Supervisory Board has appointed Holger Passauer as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). A new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is also set to take up his position at the beginning of 2026. The previous CEO, Hanjo Runde, has stepped down.

As Andreas Müller, CEO of S.D.L. Süddeutsche Leasing AG, explained, the company is now on the right track. In the near future, investments will also be made in personnel expansion again.

New dual leadership

Holger Passauer is the first representative of the future management team to take up his position as CFO with immediate effect. In addition to finance, he is responsible for production and human resources (HR) at HanseYachts. Passauer impressed the HanseYachts Supervisory Board with his production and efficiency improvement expertise from the automotive industry, among other things. “I am looking forward to the new tasks that lie ahead of me at HanseYachts,” says Holger Passauer. “Together with the new CEO and the entire team, I will do everything in my power to ensure that high-quality boat building from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has an economic future.”

At the world’s largest boat show, boot Düsseldorf, scheduled for January 2026, the company will present three yachts, including the flagship Hanse 590, the Hanse 460, and the Hanse 360. Moody will also be exhibiting the 41 DS, Sealine the C390 and C335 models, and Fjord its flagship, the F490 Open.
