HIGHEST ATTENDANCE TO DATE FOR NEW BRUNSWICK’S LARGEST BOAT SHOW

Moncton Boat Show 2016

Apr 18, 2016

Boating enthusiasts descended on the Moncton Coliseum Complex for the 2016 edition of the Moncton Boat Show, which took place April 1-3, 2016. Again this year, the show was co-located with the Dieppe Fly Fishing Forum and the NB Sportsmen’s Show, offering those in attendance tons of options for outdoor activities!

“With a record-high audience last year, we were pleasantly surprised that attendance was up again,” said Scott Sprague, Show Manager. “A slight increase over 2015 numbers means that this was our largest audience to date for the Moncton Boat Show! The packed aisles gave evidence of this, along with steady sales for boats and accessories.”

Exhibitor comments focused on the strong sales as well as the quality of visitors, who came to the show in the mood to buy and hopeful that the boating season will be here before long.

“We had a wonderful time at the Moncton Boat Show this year,” said Chris Shaw, The Binnacle. “Attendance seemed to be up on Friday and Saturday and we had a nice sales boost because of that. We really appreciate the facility and the ability to move in and out so quickly and easily; it’s very valuable to us!”

“This was our first ever Boat Show in Moncton, NB. Our experience was truly exceptional – it exceeded our expectations and we are delighted with the results.” said Pat Guitard, Bass Pro Shops. “Bass Pro Shops is about creating an experience with our guests and the show allowed us to create that opportunity, meeting people from all over the Maritimes and building strong and lasting relationships. All three days we experienced fantastic traffic through our locations, with very positive feedback from our visitors. All in all, a successful show with outstanding results!”

Congratulations to Georgie L. Hennick, winner of a Boating Safety Kit courtesy of Quartermaster Marine, and Douglas Irving, winner of two general admission weekend passes to the Cavendish Beach Music Festival.

Thank you to the crew at Discover Boating for their generous support of this year’s show, along with the show’s media partners: C103 and XL Country 96.9.

Staff and management of the Moncton Boat Show wish everyone a happy and safe boating season! Stay tuned to www.MonctonBoatShow.ca for information on the 2017 edition of the show.
